Sneaker Closet’s Unique Gift Guide

I may own a lot of shoes, but there is so much more than just sneakers in my sneaker closet. Read on for a gift guide that gives suggestions that are just as unique as my sneaker room.

For the love of ART.

For the love of art. My love of all things Andy Warhol has certainly turned my sneaker room into more of an art gallery. I am not sure where this obsession started, but with tomato soup can displays to books to toys to duffle bags, I make my OCAD alumni wife proud. Some of my toys are direct from Japan, but my Warhol Mini Dunny Series were all from Mindzai’s Blind Box by Warhol x Kidrobot.

For the love of COCKTAILS.

For the love of cocktails. From my love of tequila to my wife’s love of whiskey, the bar cart in my sneaker room is obviously well stocked. Instead of heading over to the LCBO to grab the usual bottle for a gift, think beyond the bottle. These ice-cube molds that I found on Amazon show that you put some thought into your purchase.

For the love of EDC.

For the love of EDC. My everyday carry ALWAYS consists of at least one Leatherman multi-tool, a G-Shock watch, a Ledlenser Flashlight and my Dango Tactical Wallet. Of course, if you follow Sneaker Closet on Instagram, you know that a phone tripod with a remote is never far away.

For the love of NON-MAINSTREAM BRANDS

For the love of non-mainstream brands. The last couple of years my tastes have turned towards wearing brands that are not mainstream. Stone Islands’ cash register can attest to that. When I first discovered Stone Island, they were hard to find in Canada, but they have slowly made gains into streetwear.

I hope I have given you some new ideas for that hard-to-buy for person on your holiday list.

Happy Holidays!
