Testing out the Hoka One One

And now for something completely different… I borrowed a pair of Hoka One One shoes to try out on a run.  I have heard lots of great things about them, and after the minimalist trend it is interesting to see if the trend will turn back to more cushioning.

Out of the box, they actually felt pretty good, and I was curious to see how my feet would feel in the morning.

I had done zero research before trying them out, and the one key difference I felt was the feeling that I was being propelled forward. Since then, I have read up on their Meta-Rocker midsole that supports your natural running gait.

The verdict is in – They did not replace my Ultraboosts, but I liked them well enough to buy a pair and add them in to my rotation.
