As someone who wears all their shoes, including my Limited Editions, my biggest pet peeve is people who step on my shoes leaving a giant black mark on the toe vamp. “I am 6 foot 4 – did you not see me standing there?”
A buddy of mine, Jonathan Kim, suggested Jason Markk as the best solution for marks on rubber, mesh or suede. So I decided to try it out.
I am not a treehugger, but I appreciated the fact, that the cleaner was 100% natural and biodegradable because this also meant that it wouldn’t harm my shoes!
I set up a station on my dining room table; using simply a bowl of water, a towel, and Jason Markk Cleaner and brush.
I used the solution on all materials – synthetics, leathers, mesh and rubber mid-soles. It worked fantastic. Jason Markk Cleaner worked really well for an all-around cleaning to make a shoe look brand new again. I did need to use some elbow grease on some of the harsher stains, but as you can see from the before and after shots below, that it worked out just fine.
