My Closet: Nike Epic React

WHAT?  Nike Epic React , in the College Navy / Racer Blue / Pink Blast colourway .

WHY? I bought these to actually run in!
I wanted to compare them to the Adidas Ultra Boost that I have been running the last 1000kms in, and to test out Nike’s newest running tech.

DESIGN BEHIND THE SHOE:  The shoe was designed with comfort in mind! Nike used its React Foam cushioning to make them responsive yet extremely lightweight. The foam is said to be durable, yet soft at the same time.  After a few hundred kms we will see how the foam holds up. ( What is Nike React? )

In the three runs I have had in them so far, they feel light and the cushioning seems close to, if not more than the Ultra Boosts. The real test will be after I put 40-50kms on them and I break them in.

WHERE TO BUY?  I bought my pair at SportChek Sherway as that was the only local store I could find that had them. Nike.ca also still has a few sizes left as well.

I’m going to break these in, and then I will put them up against the Ultra Boosts and see which one works best for my running style. Look for that review in a future blog post.
