ASICS opened its first Canadian flag ship store in Toronto, at Queen and Spadina, so I had to go check it out.
This 4400sq/ft flag ship store is separated into two floors showcasing 2 very distinct and unique brands:
ASICS – Shoes and apparel designed for athletes and sports enthusiasts with the purpose of applying their technology to improve performance.
ASICSTIGER™ – Street-inspired approach to classic footwear with influence taken from Japanese culture. AsicsTiger collaborates with designers and artists from all over the world.
The cherry blossom pack is a good example of the Japanese influence that they are known for.
The Move to Bloom graphics tie in their I MOVE ME™ campaign with their new Sakura Collection and Cherry Blossom colour packs.
The wall graphics going up the stairs to the second floor really separates the performance sneakers from the classics.
Grand opening weekend saw the store hosting DJs and multiple panel discussions with local influencers to chat about sneaker culture.
Looking forward to seeing what else they have in store in the coming months.
